Kattly.se is a site by cat lovers for cat lovers. We, the initiators of the site, Andrew, Joakim, and Weronica, love cats and are doing this because it is our passion. Our goal is to make Kattly.se the best Swedish website about cats. The purpose of Kattly is to become a comprehensive resource for cat enthusiasts in Sweden. We’ve noticed a need for detailed information on everything from cat breeds and behavior, tips on how to make them purr and feel content, to cat products, insurance information, feline illnesses, advice, and much more. While there is plenty of good information available online, it is often scattered, insufficient, or difficult to find. That’s why our mission is to provide thorough and easily accessible information in these areas.
Owning a cat (or several) is not only incredibly fulfilling and life-affirming, but it also comes with a great responsibility for the cat’s well-being. Some cat owners acquire a cat without sufficient knowledge, and all cat owners will at some point have questions or need the services of a veterinarian or access to other products and services. We hope to contribute to educating future cat owners and provide answers to all the questions both existing and future cat owners might have. If you are considering getting a cat, our advice is simple: go for it! But first, acquire a basic understanding of and appreciation for what it entails. Owning a cat is a significant responsibility that should not be taken lightly.
Weronica works as a Level 2 animal caretaker at Ahlberg’s Veterinary Practice, with a special focus on cats. Joakim and Andrew work at Optilab Partners AB in Stockholm, a company that has been building websites and driving traffic across various sectors for nearly 10 years. Everyone at Optilab has at least 20 years of experience in creating and developing user-friendly and high-quality websites. Many of us are proud cat owners, which is why we are particularly passionate about this project. As mentioned, we started Kattly because we, ourselves, found it quite challenging at times to find the right information online.
